Compliance archive
Keep every email this account sends, whole and unchangeable, and search it.
What the archive keeps
The compliance archive keeps every email this account sends, whole: the subject, the address it went to, the from and reply-to addresses, the text and the HTML as they were sent, and the email's own headers, the unsubscribe link included. Nothing in the archive can be changed or deleted afterwards. Test emails you send from the editor are not kept.
Turning it on
The archive lives on the Compliance archive page: turn it on, and from that moment every email the account sends is kept. Emails sent before are not added, and turning it off only stops keeping new ones — what's already in stays in.
Searching it
Once the archive is on, the Compliance archive page searches it, newest first: a word in the subject, an address it went to or came from, a date range, or one newsletter. Opening a result shows the email whole, read-only, in a frame where nothing in it can run.
On your own server
An archive holds everything it is sent, so a server runs one only when whoever runs it set it up: on MailCheap Cloud it's part of the service, and on your own server it needs COMPLIANCE_ARCHIVE_BUCKET, its own COMPLIANCE_ARCHIVE_ACCESS_KEY_ID and COMPLIANCE_ARCHIVE_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY (see the README). Until then the page explains that the server keeps no archive.
